Deal Desk Manager (m/f/d)

Permanent employee, Full-time · DE-Landau in der Pfalz, DE-Remote

Role Overview
Own the deals that shape AMDT’s growth.
We’re hiring a Commercial Deal Manager to lead high-value, complex bids across AMDT’s global markets. You’ll own the full bid lifecycle for enterprise and regulated opportunities (€500K+), turning pipeline into predictable ARR while raising proposal quality, speed, and win rates.

This is a highly visible role at the intersection of Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, and Partners. You’ll ensure every proposal delivers a clear, standardised value proposition, airtight commercial structure, and full compliance — protecting pricing integrity and eliminating regional or channel inconsistencies.

Beyond execution, you’ll build a disciplined win/loss engine, giving leadership clear insight into why deals are won or lost (pricing, scope, competition, stakeholders) and feeding that intelligence back into Sales, Product, and Marketing.

With a 40% ARR growth target, increasing NIS2/NIST-driven RFPs, and expanding enterprise footprints, this role is central to scaling AMDT’s commercial engine.
Your Tasks
Lead the Full Bid Lifecycle
  • Own end-to-end RFP/RFI responses: qualification, compliance mapping, content ownership, reviews, and on-time submission
  • Run Go/No-Go decisions based on strategic fit, win probability, and resource impact
  • Orchestrate cross-functional inputs and executive sign-off under tight deadlines
  • Manage post-submission phases: clarifications, BAFOs, Q&A, and sales presentation coaching
  • Conduct structured post-bid reviews and feed insights into win/loss analytics
Standardise Value & Commercial Excellence
  • Act as the guardian of AMDT’s value propositions, aligned to ICP/ISP, vertical, persona, and regulatory context
  • Enforce proposal quality gates to ensure consistency, relevance, and competitive differentiation
  • Own commercial accuracy: pricing models, multi-site and multi-year ARR structures, and CRO approvals for exceptions
  • Build and maintain a controlled library of approved proposal modules (ROI, compliance, case studies, exec summaries)
  • Identify gaps in messaging or positioning and drive improvements with Product Marketing and Product
Drive Process & Insight at Scale
  • Build and own a robust win/loss analysis framework with actionable leadership insights
  • Continuously improve bid processes, templates, approvals, and compliance controls
  • Ensure all proposals meet procurement, regulatory, and internal commercial standards
Your Profile
  • 8+ years in bid management, proposal management, or deal desk roles in B2B enterprise software, ideally in industrial software, OT/IT, or cybersecurity
  • Proven success running complex €500K+ bids with multiple stakeholders and formal procurement
  • Strong commercial acumen — comfortable structuring scalable ARR deals while protecting margins
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and deadline discipline
  • A builder mindset: you don’t just run bids, you design systems that scale
  • Hands-on AI fluency and acumen — using tools like GPT, Copilot, or Claude to accelerate drafting, compliance mapping, and analysis
  • Outstanding proposal writing skills, translating technical depth into executive-level business outcomes
  • Fluent English; German strongly preferred given DACH market importance
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with industrial automation verticals (automotive, pharma, utilities, CPG) and/or OT security regulations (NIS2, NIST, IEC 62443)
  • Experience with APMP certification or formal bid/proposal methodology
  • Exposure to SaaS business models, recurring revenue metrics, or B2B software go-to-market motions
  • Experience working with channel partners and system integrators in international markets
